Bible Journal Privacy Policy
A plain-English privacy policy for Bible Journal on iPhone, iPad and Android.
Overview
Bible Journal for iPhone, iPad and Android is published by Pronounced80 Solutions Limited ("we", "us", or "our"). This privacy policy explains how information is handled when you use the Bible Journal application.
This policy applies specifically to the Bible Journal mobile app. For information concerning our website, please refer to the general Pronounced80 Privacy Policy. For app help and guidance, visit Bible Journal Support.
Local Storage of Journal Data
Bible Journal is built to keep your reading journal on your device:
- On-device data: The app saves your reading journeys, read status, completion dates, and private notes as local application data in your device's app storage and does not send them to us.
- No publisher access: We do not receive, collect, or access your journal records or notes through the app.
- No user accounts: You do not need to register, create an account, or log in to use the app.
No Analytics, Tracking, or Advertising
Bible Journal does not monitor or track your usage:
- The app contains no third-party analytics or telemetry frameworks.
- The app contains no advertising SDKs or tracking mechanisms.
- The app does not collect location, biometric, contact, or device identifier data.
- The Android app requests no device permissions, including no internet permission. When you tap an external link, your browser opens it and handles that connection itself.
- The app does not offer remote synchronization, user-to-user sharing, or an app-operated cloud backup service. Installations on iPhone or iPad and on Android do not sync with each other.
Device and System Backups
System backup handling depends on your device platform:
- On iPhone and iPad: Depending on your device configuration and backup settings, Bible Journal and its locally stored data may be included in standard Apple device backups (such as iCloud Backup or a computer backup). These system backups are managed by Apple and your device settings, completely separate from the application. Pronounced80 Solutions Limited does not operate, manage, or control these device backups, and does not determine their backup coverage, retention periods, deletion, or restore behavior.
- On Android: Android app backup is turned off, so the app's data is not included in Google cloud backups. Depending on the device and Android version, a direct device-to-device transfer when setting up a new device may still copy app data.
App Deletion and Data Removal
Deleting or uninstalling the app from your device normally deletes its local application data. Because we do not receive or store your journal records, we cannot recover or restore them.
- On iPhone and iPad: Any subsequent restoration from an Apple device backup depends on your device configuration and Apple's backup mechanisms; we do not manage or guarantee this process.
- On Android: Uninstalling the app deletes its local data, and we cannot recover it.
Importing Progress Files
If you choose to import reading progress from a Bible Journal JSON file:
- On iPhone and iPad: You select the file using the iOS system document picker. The app accesses and reads the selected file locally on your device to update your reading progress and does not upload the selected file to our servers. (The system file picker may access files stored on third-party cloud or external storage services according to your device settings.)
- On Android: You select the file using the Android system file picker. The app reads the selected file locally on your device to update your reading progress and does not upload it to our servers. The picker may show files from cloud or external storage providers set up on your device.
External Links to Watchtower ONLINE LIBRARY
Bible Journal is a reading tracker and does not contain or display the full Bible text. If you tap a chapter reference, the app opens the corresponding scripture reference in Watchtower ONLINE LIBRARY (WOL) using your default web browser.
- When you tap a reference link, the selected chapter reference and language setting are passed to your default browser to request the webpage.
- Watchtower ONLINE LIBRARY links open outside the app on iPhone, iPad and Android, and tapping one does not mark a chapter as read.
- No journal content, reading progress, or personal notes are transmitted to Watchtower ONLINE LIBRARY.
- Watchtower ONLINE LIBRARY is an independent external website. Your interaction with WOL is governed by its own website policies and privacy practices.
Support Communications
If you contact us by email for support or enquiries, we receive your email address and any information you choose to include in your message. We use this information to handle and address your enquiry. Please do not include private journal notes, sensitive personal details, or confidential information when contacting support.

If this privacy policy is updated, the revised version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
